Stott Pilates Instruction Benefits to this program are numerous, and the goal is to improve upon core strength and stability, longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, relief from physical stress and back pain, to enhance athletic performance, and to heighten mind-body awareness. Stott Pilates is based upon Joseph Pilates' original exercise method and was developed by Moira Merrithew, a former professional dancer, with input from sports medicine professionals.
